Affordable but good quality
I purchased this product after seeing it reccomended by a dermatologist. It applies easy, does not have a strong odor, and helps moisturize my face. I have sensitive skin so I was worried about using a retinol product but it has yet to irritate my skin. Will repurchase.

Gentle
I am new to retinol. This is gentle. I have 68 year old skin. I would say my skin is normal. This goes on nicely. I used every night for about 10 days and my damage spots became more noticeable. My skin was a little more dry after washing in the morning. I decided I needed to start a little more slowly because of the increased redness of my age spots. They tell you not to use every day when you start. But of course you want to push the limits to get faster results. I stopped for a week and my spots went back to normal. I will resume and use three times a week and see how it goes. You just have to figure out your skin’s tolerance.

It worked and helped with *FADING* my post acne hyperpigmentation scars they never went away but it made them look at the very least more attractive and my skin looked better on cam but as soon as it ran out and i stopped using it for a few days the spots reverted so yes i would recommend this product but buy a few so you don’t run out or you can avoid it completely and find something better but with my personal experience everything that claims to do this takes more than one bottle to completely remove even small spots

Very good product
I love this product- it has helped my skin look so fresh and radiant- been using for about a month and I can tell my dark spots have much improved. ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars is because of you have sensitive skin it can be a little harsh. I use every other night bc it can make my face turn a little red if I use every night. But using every other night has dramatically helped my skin.

Works over time

Does what it says. This is ***encapsulated retinol***. I’d say maximum effects will be achieved by the end of the second bottle. This helps with fine lines on my forehead, I actually notice them a lot more during the few times I’ve stopped using this retinol. This was the first retinol I ever used (about 3 years ago), I tried maybe 2-3 other retinols but this one is simply the best. Great for layering in a routine since there are not many superfluous ingredients.

This Cerave retinol serum absorbs quickly and does not have any smell to it. It is lightweight and doesn’t feel heavy. It spreads easily and you don’t need to use a lot to feel like you have it on. So far it’s been great

Effective retinol, but expensive and slow
This retinol works. After daily applications, I’ve seen improvement after probably a few months. But it’s super slow because the retinol content in this is really low. And each bottle is small and expensive.

So this didn’t do much if anything for me, then again my acne scars are from my teen years. I’ll need something stronger or at least a different type of product. I gave this to my teen son and it works great for him. It does dry out your skin so only apply on target areas. This may be good for you if your acne scars are more recent.

I bought the CeraVe Retinol Serum because I wanted a retinol product in my skincare routine and I trust this brand. I have it all, combination super oily skin that can also get dry/flakey, textured, acne scarring, uneven tone, large pores, acne prone, sensitive skin. This is my honest review after using the whole bottle.The price is fair, the product isn’t too thick and goes on evenly/smoothly, dries well on the skin without any residue, unscented, and didn’t irritate or overdry my sensitive skin.I personally didn’t notice any drastic results, but my skin didn’t have any negative reactions either. My texture and scarring is pretty significant so I ended up switching to a stronger Retinoid which helps me better.All in all, this might be helpful for minor skin resurfacing but it just wasn’t strong enough for me. I would recommend it still though if you only need some minor improvements since it is much less harsh on the skin than Retinoids and is easier to access.Hope this helps!

Excelente, Ya lo habia probado anteriormente funcionan de lentamente pero con buenos resultados, me ayudo a aclarar esas manchitas que tenia hace tiempo estos productos son muy buenos y para nada pegajosos ademas este producto trae una cantidad que dura aproximadamente 4 meses o un poquito mas, ya que con una gotita es suficiente para todo el rostro y se utiliza por las noches y al dia siguiente un buen protector solar. Te deja la piel mas suabe y te ayuda a mejorar su apariencia haciendo que se vea mas sana y luminosa……. LO AME y sin duda volveria acomprarlo.

Age spots are disappearing!
I’ve been using this for 3 months now and my age spots are half as brown and my skin looks a lot better, little bumps are gone, pores are smaller too. Didn’t inflame my sensitive skin when using every night.I started with twice a week, then every other night the second week ,then nightly the third week.

Don’t use everyday
Okay so I’m writing this review so you wouldnt do the things I did😭😭basically I apply this product everyday (DONT DO THIS) because I used some medicated creams and gels before and I thought “my skin is used to acids”and it turns out it’s not . I used cerave face wash (mornings and nights) and this product (at nights) everyday and it really dries my skin even though I have oily skin. But I woke up with redness on my one cheek yesterday. It’s not itchy and not that serious like chemical burns and actually started to fade away but still obvious and REALLY SCARED ME. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before. I want to add I don’t have very sensitive skin. So please be careful.

Quality skincare for the low maintenance person
I am not big on skincare and using a bunch of different products on my skin and hair, but I was frustrated to still be having breakouts in my mid 30s. I was really skeptical based on the reviewers who said they saw results in a couple days…that seemed unrealistic and it wasn’t true in my experience. My breakouts were just as bad in the couple weeks after I started using it, but then slowly my skin cleared up and after a month of use, I no longer have the ever-present dots on my chin and jawline. I still have some minor redness on my cheeks, but my pores seem a bit tighter and less clogged and I hope to see more improvement with continued use. I put this on daily after I shower, wait a minute, then put on a CeraVe moisturizer. It’s easy to apply (I use only 1 pump and spread it pretty thin) and doesn’t add too much time to my routine, which for me is key to making it a habit. I’m happy this has finally helped me clear up my breakouts, and came back to Amazon to add it to my Subscribe and Save list, only to see that it’s no longer available…I’m really hoping this is temporary so I can get it in my monthly deliveries.

I’ve had a lot of acne from wearing masks this year, so that definitely means a lot more acne scars, and I was hoping this would do the trick to help get rid of those scars! The serum doesn’t seem to have smell smell, or it’s not noticeable. i’ve always had sensitive skin, and this product hasn’t irritated my skin yet. I’m not exactly sure how much writing all this has, but it doesn’t seem to be as strong as my other retinol serums. I wouldn’t use this serum to replace your right now but rather supplement perhaps every other night. I haven’t really noticed much of a difference yet, but I do understand that these things take time, so I’m still hopeful it will work out!
