   Best tinted sunscreen

   I swear by this tinted sunscreen. I always get compliments like I’m wearing makeup when I use it. You don’t get a chalky cast to your skin.

   CeraVe Sunscreen

   I have been using this product, recommended by a facialist, for about a year now – and it goes on smoothly – a little liquidity versus creamy – but it does help protect my face and arms when I am out and about walking. The ingredients that are in this product are effective – and I would continue to use this in the future – this is the second time I have purchase this product.

   Let’s be honest, this is (good) makeup (for certain people) moreso than sunscreen

   This product has more pigment in it than most foundations I’ve used. I’ve got melasma/hyperpigmentation that I’ve been battling for years so it’s very crucial that I cover my hyperpigmented spots at all times. Same time, the shade difference between my darker and lighter parts of my face make it REALLY hard to find a good foundation. It either leaves my darker spots ‘painted over’ in a lighter color, or leaves the dreaded line at my jaw. So I have to use something with ‘okay’ coverage and some dewiness, in a color between my two contrasting skin shades.To do this, I’d been using Drmtlgy Universal Tint Moisturizer which has SPF 46, but the coverage was lacking (and it’s expensive). This was the perfect solution.* I start with Aveeno MaxGlow Hydrating Serum/Primer, then after that soaks in I apply this. After a couple of minutes, I go over my darker hyperpigmented spots with the Drmtlgy, which has a higher SPF and softer glow. Then some concealer under eyes and I’m good to go.*Caveat – the reason this may work so well for me is likely just luck, in that the color sits between my dark and light spots and has a warm (peachy/golden) undertone. I can see how this would NOT work for someone with darker or lighter skin, or someone with a cool (pink) or neutral (olive) undertone. Or for folks who want to wear additional makeup/foundation over it.

   This sunscreen goes on just like liquid foundation …. Not at all thick or heavy. And, it has just the right amount of color.

   Thick and Heavy

   This is a really thick cream. After rubbing it in it’s not to bad, but it definitely feels heavier than the sheer tinted sunscreen I’ve been using. I thought I’d give it a go since the price is 4x less than my regular product. I kept it for friends to use, but it’s way too thick and heavy.

    Works great!

    I like this one over the elf. The color on this acts as a light foundation whereas the elf does not. Love that it’s an SPF. Bought this for a Disney trip since I’d be outside all day and I didn’t burn at all. I hate wearing makeup while being outside in hot weather so this was perfect with a little color. Did make me feel a little greasy since it’s SPF but that was to be expected. I haven’t found any that didn’t feel thick or greasy so I’ve just accepted they’ll all do it. lol. This will be my favorite and go to since it gives me color/coverage! Thank you!
