I was not consisted with my workout but I did saw an improvement. I don’t care about taste

  2. artharth

If you’re planning to purchase this product, I humbly request you to read this review before gauging the productI have used to numerous brands for vegan protein consumption and Origin be far has the best authentic quality protein you might be looking for under vegan category.Few key pointers are:-1) Powdered Texture – Origin vegan protein powder has such a texture that it doesn’t stick inside the packet. Which is a big plus point.2) Mixing- To check the quality of protein is of easy it’s mixability is water. And by far it has the best mixability.3) Powder scoop- every packet comes with a scoop inside.4) Its light on your gut and digests pretty quick.

  3. Vaibhav

Have tried almost all vegan protein powders, but definitely liked this one as the flavour and sweetness is just appropriate.

  4. NS

Loved the taste, and tests have proven that they are the most honest in terms of ingredients and effects. Ive been using Origin for almost a year and have enjoyed it.

  5. yashal

doesnt taste good and is also causing gas even if i just take one small scoop.

  6. D

    Terrible after taste.

  7. Nilay Kulkarni

It mixes very well, and tastes good. The added fibre does help, it is easy on the gut.The pricing works out too.

  9. Pulkit

I mix this with Almond milk, bananas and peanut butter. The taste is fine but the texture is quite chalky. It feels a bit weird to consume and even has a strange turmeric like after taste.

  10. SC

The sugar is overpowering – and if you make the mistake of following their advice and adding banana along with this sugar powder, good luck stomaching that. I even tried it in my smoothie with only sour/non-sweet things: yoghurt, berries, almond butter; I still couldn’t bear the sickly sweetness. Awful. One of the worst protein powders I have ever consumed – I need to find a way to finish the rest of the bag, because it’s sure as heck not going in my post-workout.

  11. Prajna

I tried a few plant proteins in the market and this was the best I found. Loved the vailla flavor. It’s so easy and light on the stomach esp for me since I have a sensitive stomach. Other flavors were also good. Quality is really good and most imp it’s non gmo. I feel its worth the money for a quality you get

  12. Amazon Customer

I really want to finish this as soon as possible. It’s very very bad in taste. Sometimes makes me wanna puke.Pls go for a better option. It’s NOT worth your money. It’s not worth anything, it’s that badCannot be used to make pancakes as they advertise. It sticks to a nonstick pan

I have been taking whey + protein powders from more than a decade. Recently, I turned Vegan and started consuming Plant based protein.Tried a few brands. Then the report was published in The Print stating that Origin Protein as best Vegan Protein.Man, what the hell do I do when I can’t eat your Brown Cement? It tastes yuck like eating raw flour. And no matter how much milk you put into it, it becomes cement. Attached video and pic to show how bad it is.I dread the thought of having this protein. Wasted 2K on your 778gms pack.May be, try making bricks instead, you can build stronger Pyramid with your protein bricks than the one we already have. !!Come on guys, try your own products before pushing it on us.Disappointed!

  15. sonam

It ia good and price is best here on Amazon

  16. ACK

I am consuming vegan protein from last 4 years now. I have tried many brands like nutralite, kapiva, muscle blaze green etc. This is the worst tasting protein I have ever tried.I don’t know what’s wrong with the reviews given so far for this product but nobody mention about the horrible taste.I switched from Muscle Blaze to this brand just as an experiment however this experiment failed miserably. Needless to say, going back to muscle blaze

  17. Srinath Amaravadi

I have tried several plant protein powders like healthy hey, oziva, Olena , naked plant protein and found this to be a better protein powder in terms of taste, texture, smell, solubility and digestibility.

  18. Vinay Katti

Chocolate flavour is really good. Keep it up team origin

  19. arnav w.

    Just what the title says

  20. Viraj prabhu

I waited for some time to give a review. I tried using protein as it is with water, I tried it with milk, i tried mixing it in oats to make overnight oats and the taste is absolutely not good. The taste of Stevia overpowers everything. That overwhelming sweetness of stevia remains in your mouth for a long time.

  21. Deepa J.

Please read the nutritional information before buying. It has an exceptionally high sodium content. Maynot be suitable for those with high blood pressure. The unflavored one is probably intended to add to cooking, & not mixed in water and drunk plain.

  22. Satrajsingh

    Good

  23. stephenw

Love how the Protien does not taste like cardboardLove this as a Protien pancake

  24. Reiju Ernest Kurian

Tastes phenomenal. Goes well with as my morning shake or enriches the overnight oats. When mixed with ice cold water make a refreshing post workout drink.Looking forward to trying baking recipes with this.

  26. Harsh Shah

I have been consuming it for a couple of weeks and this chocolate protein powder is great for post workout recovery. As a whey user I was a bit skeptical at first but I’m pleasantly surprised. Love how light its on the stomach. Good product, must try!

  27. SK

This is my first protein shake and I was pleasantly surprised by the taste. The recommended measurement of powder to water resulted in a shake too heavy for me so I’ve reduced the powder to water ratio to half and it’s perfect for me now.

  28. Amazon Customer

Very much satisfied with the product.Tastes so good, had been using whey iso for a year.Decided to give vegan protein a try I was impressed as the protein per serving is 25g and good mixability.Quality product and truly amazing.

  29. BrownEyedGirl

Some context setting – I’ve been consuming protein powder for the last 5 months NOT to lose weight and NOT to bulk up, but simply because I needed to increase my protein consumption. I had brittle nails and coarse, weak hair that was falling out in clumps. So far consuming a glass of protein ( 25 to 30 gms a day) and keeping my total consumption to 50 gms has helped significantly. In this context, I didn’t care about the calories; I wanted something tasty. Also, given that this drink is just 150/ 160-ish kcal, it’s hardly going to add much by way of weight to someone eating a balanced diet.Reasons why this made this brand and flavour made the list:- It used stevia; not Very few other brands had stevia as as added as a sweetener. Others used sucralose, which is shown to be bad for your gut at even small doses.- It’s premixed with a plant based milk. I’m allergic to cow milk, and the other brands that are just protein and sweetener tastes like what I imagine wet cardboard tastes like. Some kind of creaminess is needed.Reasons this still gets 4/5 stars:- Packaging. The resealable pouch is just messy. I need to put my arm in to scoop out some powder. Every time I end up with powder from the sides of the packet falling on my fingers and knuckles. It’s a waste. If someone from the brand is reading this, then please switch to a sturdy bottle. These packets can be refill packs.- The scoop. Some cost reduction at play here? But so not user friendly! The plastic scoop needs to have a longer handle. From the current half inch to a more comfortable inch and a half. It just makes scooping powder from the packet tougher and messier.Flavours: Have tried their vanilla flavour in Jan- was not bad. Repurchased it in May and it tasted horrible.Strawberry is pretty great so far.Chocolate is good as well.I will repurchase, but I will also keep an eye out for a better protein shake.

Now, the union health ministry to consider, this as the BEST vegan protein for Indians. P.S. Thanks to @theliverdoc on Twitter for sharing the latest research and tests conducted on several brands [36 of ’em] and also to the guys who self funded the QC tests. Which help me make a firm choice. Anyone reading this review can blindly trust me on this brand as a fellow human. It’s easy to digest, has the best quality of pea protein as they claim. And I hope they say ethic to the people of our country and don’t become greedy to an extent. Godspeed to the upcoming success to this brand, cuz I trust and believe y’all can grow a long way.

  31. Duygu

Taste was great, it wasn’t very gritty like other plant based protein powders but I wish it didn’t have stevia. Other than that it was great. Fast delivery too.

  32. DR AJIT KUMAR pATANGIA

It is good Protein Powder and will be better if they stop putting any sweetener like Amway is doing. Putting sweetener, be it artificial or natural or plant origin is not good for diabetic people, being a doctor I observed it spike BSL.

  33. NS

Loved the taste, and tests have proven that they are the most honest in terms of ingredients and effects. Ive been using Origin for almost a year and have enjoyed it.

  34. Akash Makkar

It doesn’t taste sublime. It’s okay. I still get it because it’s the cleanest. No heavy metals, and by no it’s no, not under permissible limits. Accurate protein content too. No artificial colors or flavors. I hope they retain their quality forever.

  35. Nasty Gal

I tried strawberry and chocolate flavour. Strawberry mixes well but chocolate not so much. The raw green pea smell is strong in chocolate flavour. So it’s so hard to take.Strawberry flavour is goo

  36. Mansi

First, the flavor and the mouth feel felt quite synthetic and the vanilla flavor didn’t taste nice. The amount of quantity prescribed to make 25g in 350 Ml water is way too much. Also, even small quantities of the product gave me stomach cramps. This product needs a lot more testing. The whole pack is going to go waste as such.

  37. Apoorv Sinha

Loved the taste and the packaging! The sweetness is really perfect. I tried baking and mixing it in oatmeal and it was perfect for it! Highly recommend it!

  38. SMIT P.

I was not consisted with my workout but I did saw an improvement. I don’t care about taste

Tastes best with cow milk, best vegan protein I ever had

I have been using Whey Protein for a very long time until I started moving away from Non-Vegetarian diet about 4 years ago and now moving closer to Vegan diet. Most vegan powders are very chalky in texture unlike this one.It mixes easily with both water or Soy milk.I have been on my 5th 750 grams pack now, have had no side effects with consumption of about 3 scoops a day and the results have been gratifying.I really wish the manufacturers are listening to my request to increase the packet size from 750 grams to at least 2 Kilos. The price is still on the higher side and should be brought down by at least 15 % ( this is not including the regular discounts for subscribers like myself ).Overall, I would recommend this product.

  45. Lokesh Sahal

Despite the presence of digestive enzymes, it’s not easy to digest. Some reviews rated this brand as the safest vegan protein for heavy metals. However, I doubt its digestibility and efficacy.

After purchasing the product I came to knew that this product is not for pregnant and lactating mothers. As per this I wasted my money. This is the responsibility of company to mention all the disclaimers on site which they have mentioned on product. If any pregnant women consume this unknowingly.. who will be responsible???

  47. NS

  48. Dennis

To anyone wondering why there exist reviews of bad taste, it’s probably because those reviewers have never consumed protein that had no added sweeteners and are suddenly revolting to the fact that their tongues have been exposed to the raw taste of plant protein. Please read before you buy if you want a sweetened product. This is as raw as it gets for those who can do without sweetness.Otherwise this seems pretty great.2.5gm of leucine/scoop from plant protein?! Enough to rope me in.

Writing this after using this protein for a few months now. Love how the powder gets properly dissolved in water and does not feel grainy at all. I’ve tried a few plant based proteins after moving to India and this one is hands down the best of the lot. It’s super good in different recipes too. Glad that it’s on par with value for the money I’m spending on meeting protein goals!
