  3. Mohan

Bought this protein a few days back and found it amazing. It doesn’t have any added sugar and it’s 100% natural. Absolutely loved it taste wise and texture too.

  4. Aditi bhati

The zip lock has stopped working from day 0. who makes this kind of bags.the protein itself is not well soluble. Suitable only for taking with shakes or in rotis.

  5. Akash Makkar

It doesn’t taste sublime. It’s okay. I still get it because it’s the cleanest. No heavy metals, and by no it’s no, not under permissible limits. Accurate protein content too. No artificial colors or flavors. I hope they retain their quality forever.

  6. Duygu

Taste was great, it wasn’t very gritty like other plant based protein powders but I wish it didn’t have stevia. Other than that it was great. Fast delivery too.

  7. Chandan kamat

I’m loving this strawberry plant protein powder. I’ve tried it with both water and milk and its great and knowing that it’s sugar free and made with natural ingredients makes it even better. A new favourite!

  8. BrownEyedGirl

Some context setting – I’ve been consuming protein powder for the last 5 months NOT to lose weight and NOT to bulk up, but simply because I needed to increase my protein consumption. I had brittle nails and coarse, weak hair that was falling out in clumps. So far consuming a glass of protein ( 25 to 30 gms a day) and keeping my total consumption to 50 gms has helped significantly. In this context, I didn’t care about the calories; I wanted something tasty. Also, given that this drink is just 150/ 160-ish kcal, it’s hardly going to add much by way of weight to someone eating a balanced diet.Reasons why this made this brand and flavour made the list:- It used stevia; not Very few other brands had stevia as as added as a sweetener. Others used sucralose, which is shown to be bad for your gut at even small doses.- It’s premixed with a plant based milk. I’m allergic to cow milk, and the other brands that are just protein and sweetener tastes like what I imagine wet cardboard tastes like. Some kind of creaminess is needed.Reasons this still gets 4/5 stars:- Packaging. The resealable pouch is just messy. I need to put my arm in to scoop out some powder. Every time I end up with powder from the sides of the packet falling on my fingers and knuckles. It’s a waste. If someone from the brand is reading this, then please switch to a sturdy bottle. These packets can be refill packs.- The scoop. Some cost reduction at play here? But so not user friendly! The plastic scoop needs to have a longer handle. From the current half inch to a more comfortable inch and a half. It just makes scooping powder from the packet tougher and messier.Flavours: Have tried their vanilla flavour in Jan- was not bad. Repurchased it in May and it tasted horrible.Strawberry is pretty great so far.Chocolate is good as well.I will repurchase, but I will also keep an eye out for a better protein shake.

  9. Prajna

I tried a few plant proteins in the market and this was the best I found. Loved the vailla flavor. It’s so easy and light on the stomach esp for me since I have a sensitive stomach. Other flavors were also good. Quality is really good and most imp it’s non gmo. I feel its worth the money for a quality you get

  10. SMIT P.

I was not consisted with my workout but I did saw an improvement. I don’t care about taste

  12. Siyapunjabi

I use protein powder from few months now. As I am a vegetarian wanted to increase my protein intake in my diet. I consume smoothies for dinner mostly. And so ordered this vanilla vegan plant protein. It gives such a perfect vanilla flavour and mixes really well in my smoothies. Also the taste is great and very low on sugar. I found this protein powder natural as there are no preservatives, no sugar but sweetened with stevia which is a Golden point. Definitely will rebuy this one.

  13. Edward

First unflavored vegan protein powder I’ve tried that disappears nicely into any shake. No significant taste or texture. Easy on my tummy too. Yay!

  14. Harsh Shah

I have been consuming it for a couple of weeks and this chocolate protein powder is great for post workout recovery. As a whey user I was a bit skeptical at first but I’m pleasantly surprised. Love how light its on the stomach. Good product, must try!

I have been taking whey + protein powders from more than a decade. Recently, I turned Vegan and started consuming Plant based protein.Tried a few brands. Then the report was published in The Print stating that Origin Protein as best Vegan Protein.Man, what the hell do I do when I can’t eat your Brown Cement? It tastes yuck like eating raw flour. And no matter how much milk you put into it, it becomes cement. Attached video and pic to show how bad it is.I dread the thought of having this protein. Wasted 2K on your 778gms pack.May be, try making bricks instead, you can build stronger Pyramid with your protein bricks than the one we already have. !!Come on guys, try your own products before pushing it on us.Disappointed!

  16. D

    Terrible after taste.

  17. Ravikiran

I was quite surprised with this protein though it doesn’t advertise much i would say it’s better than plix and olena as i used both for several months

  18. Manas

Being a regular Whey user, thought of trying this Vegan protein. Few initial thoughts:1. Water solubility is extremely poor. You need to keep stirring it which is a pain.2. Taste is passable. Can do a much better job with flavouring.3. Packaging is an absolute travesty with the ziplock being extremely flimsy. Ultimately you need to transfer it to a box which is not expected from such an expensive product.Overall not a great experience.

  19. Nilay Kulkarni

It mixes very well, and tastes good. The added fibre does help, it is easy on the gut.The pricing works out too.

  20. AK

I have been using Whey Protein for a very long time until I started moving away from Non-Vegetarian diet about 4 years ago and now moving closer to Vegan diet. Most vegan powders are very chalky in texture unlike this one.It mixes easily with both water or Soy milk.I have been on my 5th 750 grams pack now, have had no side effects with consumption of about 3 scoops a day and the results have been gratifying.I really wish the manufacturers are listening to my request to increase the packet size from 750 grams to at least 2 Kilos. The price is still on the higher side and should be brought down by at least 15 % ( this is not including the regular discounts for subscribers like myself ).Overall, I would recommend this product.

  21. RR1

The unflavoured version is an excellent protein powder that mixes well and is easy to digest. If you are after taste the floured versions are great but if you want a quality protein minus the added flavouring and sweeteners the unflavoured is great.

  22. Deepa J.

Please read the nutritional information before buying. It has an exceptionally high sodium content. Maynot be suitable for those with high blood pressure. The unflavored one is probably intended to add to cooking, & not mixed in water and drunk plain.

  23. noumenonnoumenon

Like other reviewers mentioned, the packaging needs to be improved. Scooping out of the packet is inherently messy. A jar or other container, like what many other competing products use, is a far easier and cleaner form factor for scooping out a powder.Secondly, I didn’t like the taste. I was very happy with Plix’s imported chocolate pea protein, it tasted amazing, but they don’t make that exact product any more. This, on the other hand, tastes quite nasty by comparison and I am not going to order it again.

  24. Haricharan

Definitely worth a shot if you are lactose intolerant and looking to start your protein supplement journey. The digestive enzymes help in digestion and no bloating.

  25. Ram

This is very good but the price is high. The company/Amazon should offer discount for regular customers

  26. Meera

I like the unflavoured Protein powder as I can add it to any of my foods during the day. This is especially important for me as I am a senior citizen! The protein powder can be added to eggs for breakfast,to curry during lunch or into soup for dinner. A must addition to my day.

  27. Amazon Customer

I came across origin nutrition little over a year ago, been hooked since then! I’m a person who reads labels before buying- true to their word it’s a clean protein without any unnecessary fillers. It tastes great, chocolate has been my favourite! Great job guys in making a super product that meets my needs!!

  28. Niraj Agrawal

Good product. Mixes well. Tastes nice.

  29. TamilYetiTamilYeti

See the test results for yourself! The taste could be better but if you make fruit smoothies and just add some stevia if needed that would do!Among soany fake products, origin stands out to be true to its specifications and that’s all I need to stay healthy!

  30. Nilay Kulkarni

It mixes very well, and tastes good. The added fibre does help, it is easy on the gut.The pricing works out too.

  31. yashal

doesnt taste good and is also causing gas even if i just take one small scoop.

  32. Arjun

I have been buying the chocolate flavour for the past 5 months now and it tastes great.Thought I’d try out the vanilla flavour. Serious let down ! It tastes horrible ! You guys need do something to make it taste better.

  33. Yash ChawlaYash Chawla

I like the fact that product has what it says. Well sourced ingredients, good packaging and branding. But, the taste of the product is so bad oh my!I cannot stomach it at all. It feels muddy and bitter. To the team at Origin, please fix the taste of the product. Trust me, the entire household found it less appealing. And I have had more than 15 different protein supplements to be a good judge of taste.

  34. Edl

I researched a vegan 🌱 protein powder for a ling time and I’m happy I found this one. It tastes great and leaves no bitterness like some other protein powders. Not loaded in sugar either and it makes you feel full for a long time. I have ordered another one already.

  35. Arathi C

Like I said in the title, this is one of the finest product for those who care primarily about health and not about taste. I have been using this product for close to 1 year and the results are pretty evident. Combine this with a good diet and it really helps in muscle building and overall health. I wouldn’t rate the taste as top notch, especially for the unflavoured product. Overall, extremely satisfied.

  36. Gaurav Kataruka

Hi the product tastes OK however the package doesn’t close on its rubber/plastic sealant. Quite surprising. Since much cheaper products have a better closing mechanism. Had to finally transfer it to a lock n lock box cause of faulty packaging.

  37. Amazon Customer

This is among the best tasting protien out there and easily digestable too

  38. Asharaf

This product is not suitable for people who suffering from lactose intoleranceI’m suffering from stomach upset, bloating issues after eating here his product- I’m lactose intolerant

Now, the union health ministry to consider, this as the BEST vegan protein for Indians. P.S. Thanks to @theliverdoc on Twitter for sharing the latest research and tests conducted on several brands [36 of ’em] and also to the guys who self funded the QC tests. Which help me make a firm choice. Anyone reading this review can blindly trust me on this brand as a fellow human. It’s easy to digest, has the best quality of pea protein as they claim. And I hope they say ethic to the people of our country and don’t become greedy to an extent. Godspeed to the upcoming success to this brand, cuz I trust and believe y’all can grow a long way.

  44. Viraj prabhu

I waited for some time to give a review. I tried using protein as it is with water, I tried it with milk, i tried mixing it in oats to make overnight oats and the taste is absolutely not good. The taste of Stevia overpowers everything. That overwhelming sweetness of stevia remains in your mouth for a long time.

  45. karan bansal

I love the product. I really request to improve packing. Received it today where it was not covered with any amazon packing. It can be tampered with or adulterated with. So please improve the same. Rest of it is great!

  46. Chandrasekahr

My consecutive purchase of 4+ packets has prompted me write review on this product..It has good digestibility..easy to swallow..decent protein ratios…& not much sugary or sweetener has added which is a positive for prolong use..those who are looking for grt amazing flavor with high unnatural sweetener plz avoid..it will disappoint u..but if looking for a genuine protein with gentle on stomach then go for it..it will gives u ample benefits

  47. saumilrs

    – The taste is fair. It is not too sweet nor too bland.- It does have a powdery, thicker texture while drinking but still manageable as compared to others that I tried like Kapiva, Fast&Up etc.- Solubility was also fair. I think the Fast&Up one was more soluble but this one took maybe 30 seconds more to completely mix with water.- You can’t compare this to whey though which is much more soluble in water.- Note : I have tried this only with water. I don’t know if it goes better with Almond / other types of non-dairy milk better.
